So, I haven't picked up a paint brush in a while, but I have started a new and exciting relationship with the Dremel Tool! Feast your eyes on the head of Android Girl come to life in it's first, Styrofoam-y rendition :)

Today, I was able to complete the first, somewhat uncertain full-body version of my AG mannequin/doll. Her joints are too weak, so she cannot stand up; she cannot support her own weight despite the fact that she is made of Styrofoam, an empty paint can, and wooden dowels...

Next, it is off to plaster, paper mache, and paint. I also need to decide if I want to go through the trouble of making her free-standing, or if I am going to find a stand for her....very tricky decision making.
I feel like a scientist though. Trial and error all the way. YAY :)
